The Stranger: Reflections from the Perspective of the Paradox of Otherness

Summary/Abstract: The paper aspires to disclose and reveal the philosophical full value of the endeavour to achieve a radicalizingly – critical and reflexive – demonstration of the figurative situation in relation to the Alien as the unique reconciling focus of the empirical and transcendental level of being and extr-acting of the self and the world. The status of this figure is paradoxical, yet the only way to behold it as a paradox is through the support of the method of phenomenology – with a view to a successive purifying outlining of the horizon of farawayness and accessibilities regarding the source of reflexion. The purpose of the paper, on the one hand, is to concretize the range of alienness in the autonomous and comparative context of a given multilateral dialectics of otherness (whose rightful name is meta-physics), referring to the tradition, including and basing upon the achievements of the phenomenological sociology, as stated above; on the other hand – to comprehend the Alien as a post-modern (which also means provoking the tradition) transcendentalium – as the very first sedimentation of the event of transcendency to a unified (differing from every single separateness), still en-folding/in-corporating everything within itself, horizon of the presence, that is to a typical ensembling figure of manifestation of the being within the limits of becoming.
