Analysis of Military Institution and Occupation as Officers within the Framework of National Security Service and Management of War

Summary/Abstract: In this study; the functions of military and officership in the context of the need for the national security was described. The civil-military relations and the perception of military in the world and Turkish society were also analysed within the article. With the appearance of wars, the Armed Forces are established. The officership as the core element of the Armed Forces were a way of professionalism at the beginning, as it formed itself as a career and occupation afterwards. As the formation and development of the Armed Forces, civil-military relations and the perception of society on military also came to scientific area as an important matter.
