Summary/Abstract: Cyprus has firstly become to be an international issue subsequent to the Greek efforts to discuss it in the United Nations. Because these efforts have been fruitless, the island has turned to a new era of turmoil, brutality and the bloody affairs especially after 1st April 1955. Despite the fact that Republic of Cyprus was declared in 1960, it has had no chance to continue. Despite the fact that so many efforts have been made to solve Cyprus issue, unfortunately even Annan Plan cannot have such a solution. Nowadays, the new issue for the Turkish Cypriot is to become the member of the European Union. Greek Cypriot getting accepted to be a member in an unjust and unfair way does its best to obstruct the membership of the Turkish Cypriots. Before the referendum in 2004, some Turkish people believing that Greek Cypriots, Greece and some EU countries are sincere and ready to accept them are unfortunately mistaken, but it’s high time they saw the dilemma.
