Summary/Abstract: Jorge Semprún, who died in 2011, was a witness, chronicler and actor of the 20th Century. In his writings, his personal fate is presented with such force that it almost automatically offers a possibility for autobiographical analysis. In this approach, many of his works could have been analyzed, but Autobiografía de Federico Sánchez carries a generic designation in the title itself. This work, published in 1977, induced a major political scandal at that time because of its historical and political aspects, thus significantly less attention was turned towards the literary values of the work. The present study aims to highlight Semprún’s autobiographical aspects and narrative technique in the given book.
