Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the politicians’ preference for “story telling”. The author observes that the politicians use more often the discourse rather than the political action. She refers to the “magical realism” of the political discourse at to the politicians urge to captivate the public. As a result, we have a type of politician who lives “literary”. The story is a means of political existence and we are confronted with a lot of “oral” literature. Contrary to the politicians, the writers go from idea to action and they enter the political sphere with a vaster knowledge of essences and with a larger mobility. Confronted to this situation, the politicians tend to react against the writer.
