Summary/Abstract: The paper attempts to identify the determining organizational background factors for the introduction of telework, and to understand their operative mechanisms. The data were collected in micro-, small, and medium-size enterprises in five European regions. The chief goal of the author was to conduct a general modeling experiment for analyzing, in a uniform framework, the factors influencing the chances of teleworking to be introduced. To identify the relevant organizational sociological correlations, he uses the methods of multidimensional mathematical statistical analysis. At the same time, he aspires to contribute to ongoing debates concerning organizational flexibility and production paradigms in the field of organizational sociology,.
