CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE MILITARY HISTORY OF DACIA POROLISSENSIS. &. CORRECTIONS CONCERNING COHORS III DACORUM

Summary/Abstract: The author reviews the types and variants of the stamp CH III D from Porolissum (Moigrad, Sălaj county) which were given the reading cohors III Dacorum on the occasion of publishing this stamp (Gudea 1989, p. 168) and gives the illustrations of all these types of stamp. (Fig. 1). Subseqently N. Gudea critically views the reading (lecture) given by other historians and archeologists (like C.C. Petolescu and I. Piso) who proposed readings which have no archeological or epigraphical suport in Porolissum (Petolescu 2005, nr. 740, 742; Piso 2000; 2001)
