Summary/Abstract: The author analyzes certain aspects of relations between democracy and violence and points out that in contemporary political life the sides of that relation are not that distant as indicated by their original meaning. Theoretical argumentation relies on the works by Steven Lux and Michel Foucault, while the theoretical assumptions have been concretized in the field of international relations. Besides, the author shows how the violence can be the means for export of democracy same as, on the contrary, democracy can be a source of violence.
