Summary/Abstract: The main scientific goal of paper is researching of theoretical and practical problems of scientific and technical potential of Ukraine and other countries in the aspect of globalization. The paper reveals analysis of approaches of evaluation of scientific and technical potential on different levels, comparing Romania, Hungary and Ukraine by the selected indicators which recognized of knowledge economy and define on scientific and technical potential, structural changes in economy that influenced on changes in scientific and technical development of Ukraine, technological and personnel components. Authors assert that domestic industry of high technologies can be all-sufficient for terms at least maintenance of existent scientific and technical potential and productions capacities and their update.
