Summary/Abstract: The history of the rediscovered (after long vanishing in the 20th cent.) famous Byzantine Icon dating to the 11th –12th cent. is shown. The artistic analysis of the icon and its comparison with Icon “Our Lady of Vladimir (Vyshgorod)” of the same period has been done. The author is a prominent Ukrainian restorer as well as an art expert so he investigated the Icon having applied special physical and chemical methods.
