Summary/Abstract: The author explores the way the name and the region of Macedonia are presented in medieval Arabic geographic literature and, more specifically, in cartographic images of authors of Persian and Arabic origin. To this goal, maps are used that have been preserved to the present day, while those restored by European scientists on the basis of descriptions will be excluded.
