Summary/Abstract: In the paper are examined facts and concepts, and finally are drawn following conclusions: 1. The ancestors of the contemporary Kizilbashes of North-Eastern Bulgaria were safavised Turks, colonized in the region mainly during the first quarter of XVIth century. 2. The basic "catalysts" of the heterodoxical Islam held by the Kizilbashes settled in North-Eastern Bulgaria were Bektashism and Christianity.
