Summary/Abstract: The inscription analysed below was accidentally discovered at the beginning of the 20th century in the area of the ancient city Scupi (Colonia Flavia Scupinorum) from Moesia Superior – Skopje in today Macedonia. The piece was extremely deteriorated and was walled in a medieval stone tower. It was seen and copied only by Alfred by Domeszewski, who published it in CIL, but it disappeared afterwards. The new corpus of inscriptions from Moesia Superior republished this version, without any modification or additional information. In the following lines, the author intends to provide an explanation for a better understanding of the inscription, as well as a partial restitution of it. The conclusion of this paper is that the inscription is about a romanised family. The father was a prosperous businessman, a coactor argentarius, who probably lived in the period of the Severs dynasty.
