Responsibility in the face of divorce. The perspective of contemporary theological-moral discourse

Summary/Abstract: The category which , in a systematic way, takes into consideration the complexity of moral issues connected with divorce, is the responsibility understood as a duty experienced by every person in his/her conscience and obligation to take action. The notion is strictly connected with personal responsibility to give an account of every action or its abandonment, as well as acceptance of the guilt resulting from it and making atonement. In the case of the decision of divorce, it is first of all the responsibility of the spouses for each other, for the offspring, but also for the community of believers - the Church. The following text is an attempt to present the complex aspects of responsibility that arise in the face of divorce.
