Summary/Abstract: Symbolism in Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński’s poems refers to collective meanings and according to Jung’s attitude we can assume that this poetry contains some archetypal essence. It is difficult, however, to understand the poet’s words in isolation from his own experiences. In the lyrics the figures of mother and father liven up, which in William R. Fairbairn’s concept are treated as basic and the ones which shape the development of psychological self-objects structures. The interpretation of Baczyński’s works (the author of Śpiew z pożogi) on the basis of conceptual apparatus proposed by the analytical psychology and the theory of relation with object, is an attempt to synthesize two levels of the interpretation of Baczyński’s texts – the level of collective and individual interpretation.
