Summary/Abstract: The object of presented analysis is identity treated as an area of social agents’ emancipation and transgression. There are presented issues related to the chosen aspects of identity, emancipation and life politics. There is also indicated the specificity of identities’ status in the context of modern and postmodern matrix of disciplinary power.
