Summary/Abstract: Business supporting institutions such as training and consulting centers, associations or chambers of commerce are based primarily on services, training, information and advisory services. These organizations operating in the region have relatively high potential to provide substantive support to the SME sector, financial and technological developments in the implementation of modern technology. The basic aim of this paper is to present general characteristics of various business support organizations which stimulate innovative activity of polish enterprises. The article also includes some statistic data and knowledge of how the system is working in polish environment.
