Summary/Abstract: In order to envisage economic freedom Belarusian legislator implemented several rules. These rules do not really vary from those known to the democratic standards. Economic activity can be run by both: citizens and foreign units. It is possible for an entrepreneur to choose legal form in which they would like to start usiness activity. The sovereign is not to interfere infinitely with this entrepreneurship. Lawgiver declares the rules connected to the state support as well as other duties related to the governmental control and supervision in a clearly manner. Analysis of the Belarusian economic legislative implies that from the legislative point of view the Republic of Belarus meets the criteria of democratic freedom to undertake and run economic activity. However, due to the fact that – for the time being – the dominant entrepreneurship manager remains the state, it may be indicated, that the Belarusian market economy is not really strong.
