Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the problem of management in the Arctic region of the Russian Federation. The rational use of the natural resources found in the Arctic Sea requires efficient organization, coordination, and regulation of economic activities of stakehold-ers in this area. From the legal perspective, the restoration of environment monitoring system provided by the state is required. It is essential to control environmental security in the industrial areas. Solution of the problems related to the international cooperation ensuring environmental security during hydrocarbon exploitation in the shelf area of the Arctic zone is also pivotal.
