Summary/Abstract: This article discusses different forms – in terms of genre – of recording (private letters, diaries, reportage) of Maria Dąbrowska’s three journeys to Yugoslavia. In the author’s opinion these accounts reveal a tension between the subjective truth of being here and now, which Dąbrowska wanted to express, and the objectivity of being, which she wanted to present objectively. They is also a testimony of a typically female, or, rather, more intensive in women, polisensory experience of the world.
