Summary/Abstract: The article presents comparative analysis based on the results of survey of perceived usefulness of accounting teaching tools such as practical examples (exercises, case studies), presentation of educational materials in form of text and slides, electronic accounting databases, national and international accounting websites, accounting literature and accounting journals. ANOVA analysis revealed a significant gap in the assessment of teaching tools’ usefulness among two groups in Poland and Slovakia: students with practical experience in accounting and people interested in vocational training. A difference in perceived usefulness of analysed teaching tools depends significantly on professional experience, which helps recognize issues and skills essential in accountant work field.
