Summary/Abstract: Pola Sobaś-Mikołajczyk reviews Aalst (Turkish premiere: 20 Oct 2014, Polish premiere: 17 Jan 2015), the result of cooperation between Salon iKSV in Istanbul and Teatr Powszechny in Warsaw, in celebration the 600th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between Poland and Turkey. The plot of the show, directed by Radosław Rychcik on the basis of a play based on fact, focuses on an interrogation of a pair of child-killers. To a Polish viewer, the plot and the way it is presented may bring associations with the case of „the mother of little Madzia from Sosnowiec”. However, the author emphasises the links between the performance and the Medea myth and Krystian Lupa's Persona. The Body of Simone.
