Summary/Abstract: The article tackles the style of peer interactions and ways of forming relationships between junior high school students. The paper describes the ludic atmosphere within student circles and portrays interactional games among teenagers. The conclusions are presented with reference to Victor Turner's theory of communitas and Roger Caillois' typology of games. The paper is based on qualitative research (using participant observation) conducted in junior high schools.
