"Tough Kids" from Szmulki

Summary/Abstract: The article is based on materials from two empirical studies concerning the lifestyles of North-Praga youth and analysis of data obtained from the websites of institutions, offices and social organisations active in the area. Members of the study group do not take advantage of any of the cultural opportunities or prevention and educational programs available in the area. By remaining in an environment where the risk of pathology is high, young people reproduce the lifestyles of their parents or siblings, or adopt the lifestyles of their peers.
