Family influence on the attitudes of citizens society

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to identify the important role of the family in shaping civil society and citizenship especially of the younger generation. The family is currently in a specific situation. On the one hand, moving away from the traditional value in nature, but on the other trying to find oneself in a modern society can be observed. As a method of collecting the material a diagnostic survey “Are we civil society” conducted among 441 respondents was used. The analysis of the problem is merely an attempt to indicate the role of the family in creating a civil society and drawing attention to the importance of social capital defining the specificity and potential of this social category. Civil society should have its origin in the family.
