Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the semantic-functional peculiarities of a case whose spatial meaning is the expression of a vertical limit. As a result of a comparative analysis of the semantics of terminative cases their similarities and differences in the expression of limitation, and also factors defining the choice between competing units are revealed.
