Summary/Abstract: The level of teacher professional preparation should be the matter of consideration of any state, as the teacher is the power which can contribute seriously to the future generation’s civic education. The article discusses short history of teacher education process in Georgia, the current situation and contemporary challenges both in the form as well as the content of teacher preparation.
