Pricing of service of Collective wastewater collection andtTreatment and the polluter pays principle

Summary/Abstract: The current system in Poland pricing of water supply and sewerage services does not give a direct answer to the question of how to fairly divide the costs among the various recipients of wastewater services. The allocation of the cost of water and sewerage companies usually do not take into account the polluter pays principle, which does not take into account the pollutants coming from the different groups of recipients of services. Thus, there is a need to clarify the rules for determining fees for waste water, so that no cross-subsidization occurred in relation to particular groups of customers service.
