A New View in Social Science

Summary/Abstract: A new view of social sciences was opened up by the publishing of the analytic praxiology works and the formation of a scientific research method specific to this social discipline. The progress of this science's development is illustrated through the three stages – 2000, 2005 and 2012 – by increasingly extensive and complex works. For each stage, some of the basic novelties are revealed, while the others can be found out only from the mentioned works. The most important concepts which constitute the foundation of the new social discipline and its research method are explained as well. All these can serve to the researchers, teachers and students in the social sciences’' universities for the study of the social action and interaction and for the elaboration of their own works in the field. Worth mentioning is the fourth stage, the praxiology essays, with two volumes of it already published in 2013. Other two volumes, The Figures of the Practice and Prometheus’ Vultures are written and waiting to be published. The first is a study on the aesthetics of the social action, written from a praxiology perspective, and the second addresses, from the same point of view, the major ethic problems of the people and current societies and cultures. Each volume develops and elaborates on the facets or aspects of the Analytic Praxiology Treatise, or new ones, yet unknown in the previous stages, are identified and highlighted.
