Summary/Abstract: This article presents the risk of non-going concern basis based on the literature and on the example of oil industry companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. It is connected with the growing needs of conduct numerous analyzes of a wide range of aspects of an enterprise — resulting from the increased interest in the practical aspects of economic sectors, particularly accounting. Particular importance of the concept of going concern and the risk of cessation. National legislation and international special attention to the important role observe the correct procedure for determining the feasibility of continuing operations. It is not without significance for the correctness of its implementation of the financial reports, the creation of a fair and true picture of the company and a number of factors depend on the assessment of management - such as the correct valuation or lack of bias. It is connected inextricably with those of an auditor for the decision to continue operations. Obtained results provide answers to the condition of the petroleum sector companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and indicate the possible loss of the ability of those companies to continue operations. The research methodology is a comparative analysis - to illustrate the problem was used the pre- diction of financial distress model Zgss-gpw for the analysis of listed companies. Supplementing the data presented in the study of discrimination study using static liquidity ratios. A separate issue is the mapping of continued operations. Article is essential for enterprises in assessing the risk of losing the ability to continue operations and financial evaluation.
