Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to analyse Julian Tuwim's poem »Reasons. A Song to a May Tune« from June 1933 year. The author reconstructs the likely circumstances of its creation (the strike of the workers of the Tomaszów Silk Factory between April and June 1933), which reveal hidden political meanings, to which this seemingly playful text alludes.
