Digital Preservation of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Belarusian Orthodox Church: Traditional Bell Ringing

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the passportization of Belarusian bells and specially the digital preservation of traditional ringing from 247 Orthodox churches of Western Belarus (based on the expeditions during 2003-2012). The preservation of traditional Belarusian ringing the beginning of the XXI century set the task of including it into the list of historical and cultural values of Belarus, and subsequently in the list of Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
