Iranian atomic program in context of presidential election, 2013

Summary/Abstract: The results of the presidential election, which took place in Iran, caused rejuvenation of hopes for improvement in relations with Iran amongst western countries. That was caused by the fact that the elections won dovish, generally respected, politician, who was also perfectly known to the international community. This article touches upon a question of possible changes of strategic aims and the methods of achieving those by the country. Through the analysis of political background up to now with special taking the matter of security (including question of Iran nuclear program) into consideration the attempt of answering the question was taken: if the presidency of Hasan Rouhani could actually turn out to be a watershed in contemporary history of this country?
