Summary/Abstract: The article examines the effects of selected factors of health inequalities in Slovakia and tests the theoretical and methodological assumptions of the cultural and behavioural health model of Slovak society based on the results of the ‘ISSP Slovakia 2012’. Using decision tree analysis with a CRT algorithm the authors confirm the effect of socio-economic status as the dominant factor of health inequality. They also confirmed the different impacts of various types of protective and risk behaviour (regular medical examinations, eating fruit and vegetables, physical activity, smoking, drinking, and alcohol) and of other, indirect but important determinants of health.
