Summary/Abstract: Although security studies have strong roots in sociology and other social sciences, they sometimes fail to take advantage of useful topics and methodologies that are mainstream knowledge for social scientists. Public security culture (and the efforts to measure it) is one of these subjects that could be better “exploited” by security studies scholars using classic sociological instruments.
