Summary/Abstract: Crowdsourcing is a practice of obtaining goods and services form the large groups of people or companies (crowd) whose identity is not important for the whole process. Additionally the commitment of each participant does not need to be big. The paper describes the essence of the crowdsourcing idea and analyzes types of crowdsourcing models. Examples of sourcing different goods and values (information, digital goods, money, services, ideas, technical resources) are also discussed. In the final part the paper deals with the rules of running a crowdsourcing platform and also with the possibilty to use that model in international business environment.
