Organizing Pessimism. The Possibility of Thinking in Mass-Media

Summary/Abstract: The present study is an enquiry into the ways in which ideology structures mass-media discourses and the possibilities to deconstruct its mechanisms in order to produce an authentic process of thinking. There are several principles of Western media and all of them construct in fact a fantasy which the viewer takes as reality. Traversing the fantasy (through a detection and an interpretation of the symptoms) seems to be the only possible way for an emancipation of the spectator.
