The role of state in the ownership protection

Summary/Abstract: The issues connected with the ownership are crucial for economics. The type of ownership determines the type of economic system and the ownership protection influences its efficiency. However these issues are rarely present in nowadays considerations within the social studies. In addition, the contemporary processes which take place in global economy cause the necessity of renewed analysis and updating of these issues. The main goal of this article is to define and reside the ownership and ownership protection (understood as the measure of economic system efficiency) within the scope of issues connected with the role ofstate and economic freedom. The article also focuses on describing the legal background of ownership protection and the well-known and widely accepted measures of ownership protection.
