Summary/Abstract: The author studies the expectations of the Church and society towards priests. He un-derlines the need of having priests characterized by their mature personal spirituality equipped with intellectual competence and the capacity of communication. He also presents seminary as a place where a vocation can be verified and accepted in order to live with Jesus Christ and fascinate others. According to the author, the essential con-sists in combining the spiritual and intellectual formation with the practical preparation for priesthood.
