The analysis of the limit of obligatory offer based on the theory of cooperative games

Summary/Abstract: The work discusses the limit of obligatory offer. The chosen food sector of companies from the Stock Exchange in Warsaw was considered with the use of cooperatve games and a project of amendment of public offering act from 2005 in Poland was discussed. The results show that the threshold of 33% proposed in the amendment is not proper for the Polish market. Potential investors are exposed to high cost and concurrently free float is not protected.
