Threats and conflicts in the field of spatial planning in the Wałbrzych Sudeten Landscape Park

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study was to identify existing and potential threats of spatial development policy and the conflicts they evoke as well as to indicate areas where they occur within the Wałbrzych Sudeten Landscape Park. The study included inventory and analysis of the spatial policies adopted by municipalities constituting the park’s socio-economic space, and the analysis of the actual situation, especially in the context of environmental problems and cultural landscape. The research highlighted the importance of identifying spatial conflicts in making rational decisions regarding spatial development policies and their relation to the completion stage and quality of spatial plans.
