Innovativeness in the process of urban revitalization

Summary/Abstract: This article attempts to present the problem of innovativeness in relation to the processes of urban revitalisation. Based mostly on the literature studies, the areas of innovativeness in the process of urban revitalisation were identified at various stages of its realization, including the different spheres (social, economic, spatial and environmental) of functioning of the city and also in relation to different actors involved in its implementation. The article also formulates the main assumptions of the revitalisation process aimed at creating and stimulating innovativeness of actors and structures that are functioning in the scale of the selected areas of the city, and also indicates factors determining the effectiveness of undertaken activities in this area.
