Summary/Abstract: From their beginnings the heritage institutions have been striving towards the safeguarding of sistematically acquisition, organizing, information storage, preservation and information accessibility. For the purpose of getting effective models and directives for their synchronous activity, many theoreticians and practitioners from the spheres of archivistics, librarianship, documentalistic, museology and wider field of the information sciences, investigated interrelations of libraries, archives, museums and documentation centers and researched their similarities and differences. For this reason they tried to develop postulates and features of their activities, with critical rewievs over the appearance of paradigm and announced new ones that could set up the problems of the influences from the variable environment to heritage sector. In the 20th century they started to write about these issues from 1930-ies, when concentrated to the explanation of the similarities and differences between the archives and libraries with reference to archival and libraries activities. From 1960-ies museologists joined these discussions and explained the specific features of the museums and museum activity. At the beginning of the 20th century theoreticians were interested in more than before in new approaches since digital environment caused the necessarity to find new developing ways and in explaining appropriate theoretical models. The purpose of this invited presentation is to contribute to understanding of interrelations and more frequent convergence of heritage institutions and activities, to show increasing consciousness of the need to cooperate more closely by taking the right way towards concrete cooperation in networks. Methodologically, presentation is based on critical view of valuable theoretical contributions from particular heritage spheres, in other words, on the attempt of interpretation of convergence scopes which purpose is an explanation of the new paradigm of heritage sector, respectively submitting the adequate theoretical and methodological framework for scientific interpretation of new phenomenon.
