Summary/Abstract: Change of the constellation of powers on the world stage after the end of the Cold War, has resulted in important changes over Yugoslavia in global terms. Montenegro, as the smallest republic in the Yugoslav federation was bypassed by political upheavals in the atmosphere of desintegration of the communist system. United States, having remained as the only global superpower, used the political and war events in ex-Yugoslav region for implementation of policy of the “New World Order”. The 20th and early 21st century is the period of the most powerful influence on international relations by U.S. policy. Relations between large and small, powerful and dependent, both historically and in the sphere of modern politics is primarily refracted through the interests of big and powerful countries
