Summary/Abstract: The participle of the modern Bulgarian language has been known to linguistics ever since its forming and validation due to its diversity and specific character. The formation of new words, the dropping out of the non-functional ones and the borrowing of participles from similar languages has transformed the participle system into a mixture of functional and formal elements. Having all this in mind, some forms, for example, those of the past active imperfect participle have brought up a lot of questions in terms of the correct coordination with the grammatical characteristics of the participles. By this report, we will take a look at the main points of the particple and will try to verify the lemma according to its most used formal characteristics.
