Chronos and Telos or Permanence of the Controversy About Our End vs. Our Future

Summary/Abstract: In this study I compare two examples of answers to the question about the purpose of the history. I start with an analysis of one of one eschatological pericope of New Testament and reconstruct the religious concept. Next I reconstruct Richard Rorty’s naturalistic conception of the history. Than I make explicit questions about the goal of the history that arise from both. I also analyze relations between sequences of this questions. At the end I point out specific differences between two reconstructed approaches trying to designate the extent of its convergence.
