Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to show the crucial role of innovations in the process of retail enterprises globalization. The internal and external conditions of this process are shortly described, but the attention is focus on internal resources. The role of product innovations (own brand products and new retail form) in differentiating retailer offer has been indicated as well as the role of technological innovations in coordinating its activities dispersed on global market. The next steps that should be taken by global retailers in the future has also been specified.
