ABOUT ADULT EDUCATION. LIFELONG LEARNING IN POLAND IN PERSPECTIVE OF EUROPEAN UNION

Summary/Abstract: In the era of development of the knowledge-based society and the difficult situation on the labor market, in particular of the adult young people, increasingly important issue is becoming the supplement development of the knowledge and skills by persons who have completed stage of formal education. The subject of discussion in the article is the phenomenon of lifelong learning and the problem of remaining units outside the education system during adulthood, his understanding, scale and characteristics in Poland in perspective of the EU. The basis of the empirical analysis are data from Polish Central Statistical Office (CSO), in particular from its study on the basis of The Adult Education Survey, and The Social Diagnosis. Objective and Subjective Quality of Life in Poland on the conditions and quality of life of the Poles, and Eurostat.
