The Computer in Preserving Process of the Folk Music Collections

Summary/Abstract: In our modern world of intense technical expansion, the informatics develops rapidly entering more and more fields of activity. The increasing use of the computer, with more and more updated versions, is a sign that science has a clear potential to conquer the future. Editing books about music and CDs with traditional instrumental, music collected during folklore researches are two new fields of activity developed lately, and two of the main concerns of the folklore research team of Cluj County Centre for Preserving the Traditional Culture.
