Summary/Abstract: Some of the traditional blacksmiths choose the iron by testing its sounds. By means of IT acoustic measurements we investigated which spectral structures correspond to different sound perceptions of the craftsmen. Thus, we could see how the acoustic sharpness reflects the spontaneous sound perception of the blacksmith.
